RingCentral Meetings is being used through the whole company as a per request bases. It's an alternative tool like Google Hangout, Microsoft team, or Zoom. It's an alternative tool for the flexibility of support, sales, and communications through our teams, users, end-users, and customers of course. It's been more of an optional tool then our main one.
  • It looks similar
  • Follows what works
  • integrates well with it's phone call feature
  • Bandwidth sensitive
  • Updates interfere with meetings
  • Can slow down machine
It would be a good alternative tool. Unfortunately not the main tool yet. It's a bit buggy compared to the other competition as GoToMeeting and/or Zoom. The looks like Zoom to a degree, but not quite the same. The virtual backgrounds as failed me before. Best to have a green screen behind you as a backup. Even with a power computer it still can drop on you.

  • The impact is micro if any
  • cost more than it's delivering
  • Looks similar to others but still need backend work to run smoother
  • Zoom
Again, RingCentral Meetings is a backup tool. We've had some failures with other tools such as Zoom, but much less consistent. It is an alternative tool for our end users and customers alike to have access to. Would I suggest this meeting tool. I guess it depends on cost and direction of your organization.
When it comes to the support side of RingCentral Meetings, they are top notch, been doing this with their phone system for a long time. Nothing bad to say or mention about that. Only thing the time it takes to get support sometimes can be a little frustrating. However, they always have the right/helpful answer for you.
This is an alternative tool. If it was a main tool, I believe our users would have more issues daily then they would with the other tool(s) we have. It is a tool that does keep up with the rest other meeting devices, but just the weight of the software and consistent performance is probably what hurts it still in the industry.

We use RingCentral Meetings throughout the whole bank. All of our committee meetings, board meetings, FDIC Exam meetings are hosted by [RingCentral] Meetings. We are solving remote meetings with [RingCentral] Meetings. It is very user friendly with easy screen sharing, camera and microphone capabilities, and file sharing. It has been very handy especially during the pandemic.
  • Screen sharing is wonderful in [RingCentral] Meetings. It makes presenting easy.
  • Being able to mute and turn off cameras when necessary is a nice feature too.
  • Switching from the computer to the cell phone when on the go is a nice benefit.
  • [RingCentral Meetings] is always coming out with new updates. Sometimes updates are too frequent.
  • Sometimes there is a lag when presenting especially when new updates just happened.
Screen sharing and file sharing are a key point in [RingCentral Meetings]. We can make anyone a presenter and pass the presenter role around to have efficient meetings. Easily sharing presenter roles and being able to file share really helps make our meetings to be more efficient and user friendly.

  • Being remote it has brought us all together.
  • Made meetings more efficient.
We chose [RingCentral] Meetings because its integrated with our phones and makes it user friendly being all on one platform for our company. Meetings are streamlined with calendar events linked, all contacts are integrated, and it's easy to add someone who is outside of the organization. No issues with [RingCentral] Meetings.
Very user friendly and helped streamline our meetings and kept us together. File sharing, presenter role sharing, being able to mute and turn cameras on and off has helped tremendously. I definitely recommend [RingCentral] Meetings to anyone looking to strengthen their meetings and make their meetings more efficient and user friendly.
I have reached out to [RingCentral] a couple times for support when we first implemented it and they have always had answers.

RingCentral Meetings is a versatile platform which enables me to host meetings with multiple people regardless of what device they're using to connect (either a computer, mobile device, even an old fashioned telephone is good enough). I also appreciate the newer annotation features like the whiteboard function to further enhance the meeting functionality. Moreover the screen-share function is extremely useful to help a troubleshoot a problem with another user's device.
  • Multi-device connectivity. Not all users have working microphones or video cameras installed on their device. RC Meetings allows users of all types to connect regardless what device they're using even if it's a standard old fashioned telephone line to dial into the meeting
  • Host capabilities to mute other users and control screen annotation
  • Invite function works great. It provides a quick easy way for users to join the meeting without much confusion
  • Screen share functionality is rather limited in capability. Screen takeover functions seem limited to desktop devices (view-only for mobile device users)
  • Interface feels a bit clunky. Workable for advanced technical users, but a bit confusing for older senior-level executives
  • Integration with existing RingCentral software. Jumping between RingCentral meetings and telephone feels wrong, they should be integrated into one application for the business user with a standalone application for non-subscribers who wish to join the meeting
RingCentral meetings is best suited to small businesses with multiple remote employees who need to teleconference as well as engineers wishing to provide technical support to their customers. RingCentral Meetings is less suited to small businesses consisting of a single employee, in which case the meetings application is only beneficial for conferencing with customers which may or may not happen frequently

  • Reduced time spent managing technical support issues (instead of customers describing problems, they can screen-share to help with the diagnosing process)
  • Whiteboarding has been exceptionally helpful to sketch new concepts and save them for future reference
  • Lack of capability to remote-control smart phones has limited it's screen sharing functionality for us, requiring the need for another software subscription to utilize that function.
RingCentral Meetings has all the standard features one comes to expect from a virtual meeting software. The subscription prices are far for what you get and the service is reasonable. However I still feel the Cisco Webex interface is more streamlined and easier to use. I have never been a big fan of the RingCentral Meetings smartphone interface.

RingCentral is being used across the entire organization. It serves purposes related to meeting organization, remote and onsite virtual meetings, virtual interviews for remote candidates and remote managers, "instant messaging" between employees internally, file sharing, company phone, remote collaboration, screen sharing, etc. Its main value add is that it streamlines and connects remote and onsite workers and creates a centralized and reliable platform for everyone to use since over 1/3 of our workforce is remote.
  • Instant messaging features are pretty plentiful and user-friendly for the most part. It makes a quick question easier to do versus writing a long email, etc. It also adds a little fun to it with emojis and the different gif options if offers you.
  • Remote collaboration, like virtual interviews, are easy as well. You just add a RingCentral meeting to the body of the email or invite and you click or dial in on it and you are in. The code is readily available and visible as well.
  • The current concurrency for remote employees is only 100. After 100, no one else can log in and I think this is a downfall because if your company is large and has a large percentage of remote staff, we can't really leverage this tool fully so a patch update to respond to this would be ideal.
  • Some smaller detail-oriented items can leave something to be desired i.e. updating your status within the chat window is cumbersome and not very straightforward. Also, sometimes window sizing and positioning can be annoying as well.
It is well suited for large virtual meetings and interviews. The platform is easy to use, even for those that haven't used it before. It's good for collaboration as well when screen sharing or sharing documents is required and can really bring remote teams and workers together more so with the camera feature, etc. It's not well suited for remote meetings of 100 people or more cause we aren't able to include everyone all the time.

  • It has had a positive impact. We replaced an archaic solution with a more modern, streamlined version or product. Like anything else, it has its downfalls and isn't perfect, but overall it's been a good product and has outshined its predecessors like Zoom and Skype.
  • It also has an integrated office phone feature which has been great as our phones are essentially our laptops. It cut down on those costs and in general freed up space on our desks since we didn't have to have them anymore and everything is on our computer now.
Ring Central is a more comprehensive and streamlined solution compared to the other options out there. Additionally, it seems to be more reliable and has less breakdown or issues as well. It allows you to do many of the same capabilities as the other rival products out there, but it can do them all in one solution and is more reliable as well. I would recommend RingCentral over the others.

It is being used by anyone in the organization that has a reason to need a meetings solution. There is no other tool that is used. We preinstall it on all computers and give anyone an account to it just in case they need it. It is being used to conduct phone only calls as well as meetings on a computer, and a hybrid meeting of the two. It is being used to show other employees how to use the tools for training. Sometimes the sessions are recorded so the trainer only needs to do the main training once. It is used to present slides to people outside of the company.
  • Very reliable. It never breaks on any of our devices
  • Call quality is always fine
  • Installation is quick for guests joining the meeting
  • It connects to Outlook and Google calendar so it's easy to add invites from within the applications.
  • It's just like many other zoom-based meeting tools. They are all based on this single technology that is just rebranded
  • Other zoom-based meeting tools might be cheaper or offer other things you might want
  • Nothing negative about this meeting tool. I really do like it and there is no reason to not use it since we get it free with our RingCentral phone accounts.
If you use RingCentral already like us, it's a no-brainer to use. I have seen no other reason to purchase any other meeting tool. If we didn't use RingCentral phones and got the meeting app free, I would still research other alternatives that might be a better price. As I mentioned, this app is based on "zoom" meetings, and so are many other options.

  • Since it came free with our phone service, it has saved us from purchasing anything else, so the ROI was certainly there
  • It was easy to deploy with a group policy rule to all computers, so it took minimal IT time
  • Since we already had VoIP accounts for all of our users, there was no other account to create.
I see no reason to go with GoToMeeting because you can't bundle it with anything else. Skype for business comes with some versions of Office 365, and that might make a suitable replacement for RingCentral meetings if you already need that level of office. I would personally choose any meeting service that comes bundled with some other service I'm already using.
Oracle VM VirtualBox, Microsoft Office 365, TeamViewer, FixMe.IT, Microsoft Azure, JIRA Service Desk, OneDrive, Google Drive, Trello, Glip, SonicWall TZ

Call center training, Sales communicating with potential clients with slides, IT and accounting using the tool to record them helping one user with a common problem so we can send the video to other users to fix the same issues without our help.
5
Most people pick it up very quickly and then never need IT to help them out again!
  • Recording training session
  • Sharing screen with someone outside of the company
  • Simply an audio conference
  • When the VPN and RDP was broken, we started a meeting with the user's self so they could get into their computer. It's not great, but it worked in a pinch.
We are grandfathered into an unlimited toll-free minutes plan with RingCentral, so as long as we have them as a VoIP provider, we get Meetings free. If they ever start to charge us for using meetings as well, we'll drop that part in a second and switch to Skype for Business, which we currently have as well part of our Office 365 package.
  • To start a meeting right now and send the link to others is a cinch.
  • Clicking a meeting link, installing the application, and get going.
  • turn the audio or video on or off.
  • Managing codes for multiple recurring meetings could be confusing at first
  • Some advanced functions for large, public groups that I don't use might not be as obvious at first. I would certainly do a few demos of new features before doing a production event.
Yes, but I don't use it
Probably could be a little easier and friendlier to use but it's definitely not needlessly complex. It could just use a little more investment in refining the UI instead of adding fancy features.
